Hi there, I just stumbled ( I was looking for 1968 Cuda's ) on your page. I also have a 1968 383 S Barracuda. My father bought the car sitting behind a barn in Atlanta Georgia ( I found it through some
friends in Atlanta ) , it had been tore apart. It was being used for parts to keep a 318 Barracuda going ! The
interior had been gutted, no intake or carb, no dash or interior wiring etc. It was pretty beat up, that was about 1987, my father began the task of getting it going. After towing it back to southern Ontario Canada. About 1989, it was on the road , the
original motor still ran but blows a little oil. We have no idea how many miles are on it because there was no dash in it. So in 1989 it is on the road, a little rough around the edges but on the road again. In 1990 my father passed away, and the car was passed on to me. It has been sitting in my moms garage since then . A nice dry garage. The car still has the
original Electric Blue paint. But with some dents and dings, none too serious, the front fenders were nipped on the bottom for wide tire clearance (idiots) It is a automatic car, with a console, the
original interior was blue, or what was left of it was blue. Parts for cars like that are extremely difficult to find around here so a black
interior was located and installed. It still had the 383 emblems on the hood. It looks like at one time there was a stripe on the roof of it, but it is only on the roof of the car. Was this a option or did someone put it there ?? As soon as I can locate some pictures of it I will scan them and send them too you. This is just a quick note I will get back to you with some photos and a copy of the fender ID tag.
Here are a couple of pictures of my 383 Formula "S" Barracuda. The one is how we found it in Atlanta in 86 or 87 not too sure of the year. Then several years later when my dad started to fix it up, after towing it a thousand miles to Ontario Canada. I know the rallye wheels are not correct but my father liked them. He passed away
shortly after this picture was taken.
