Much updating on this car over the last couple years. The 383 4 spd installed, dash re-done, interior redone, repainted, deck lid redone to a 68, header panel replaced w/'68, radio found. Lack radiator & fan & shroud & wheels to be complete. I have located radiator, but no fan shroud. The car & I have moved to Branson, MO. Updated pix to follow shortly.....

I sorta stumbled across your page. I've got a 1968 that started life as a 383 FormulaS 4speed Fastback. Now it's a 340 automatic. A previous owner used it as a drag car for some time. The speedometer shows about 17k miles. I'm weighing the merits of trying to return it to original or very close.

I'm in Ridgeland Wisconsin, north-western part of the state, about 75 miles east of Minneapolis-St. Paul MN and 225 miles west of Green Bay, WI. There doesn't seem to be many barracudas in this country, I went to the Iola car show this weekend--just one '68 there, and at Mopars in the Park in Shokopee, MN had one real nice '68 but it was from Canada, and neither were Formula S'.

My car also has E body front buckets, I like them and am planning to keep those. The interior has all new sorta 2-tone buckskin/gold colored seats and headliner w/black carpet and door panels. I've had a lot of compliments on the interior! The paint color is a metalic black with an unusual type gold trim near the tail lights and under the doors.

I don't remember all the codes, but 950 is FormulaS package, SS1 is top and bottom paint in a sunflower yellow and H8 in the VIN# is the High Performance 383cid 4bbl engine.
