Hi, all...
"1968 BARRACUDA Formula S convertible, 383, 4spd trans. Fully restored, 32K orig miles, electric blue with black top, redline tires. Lots of NOS parts. $19,500 obo" That's a little pricey for me, but I figured it must be a pretty nice car. I went to visit the guy and the car today, and it's REALLY nice. It's not a #1 car, but it's close. Talking with the guy, I learned that he's owned the car since 1980, and is the 3rd owner. He somehow managed to collect an amazing amount of NOS parts for the car (wheel opening mouldings, tail lights, grilles, deck lid trim, hub caps, etc.), and all of it is on this car. It also has lots of new repro parts, mainly in the interior. It differs from completely original in that it has a black top instead of white, it has been converted to disk brakes on the front (manual, using 1968 parts), paint is PPG Deltron base/clear in the original QQ1 blue, and the motor has been rebuilt (dropped a valve). He is selling the car because he hasn't been able to drive it in several years... It does need a little attention to be a true #1 car, but as-is would easily place very highly at any show you took it to. It's also rare. According to the owner, it is one of only 40 4speed big block convertibles for 68. I have no way of verifying this, but I can count every "real life" big block Barracuda convertible I'VE ever seen on ONE finger. If one of you buys it, the finders fee is a trip around the block... :-)
Sorry this is so long, CAR HAS BEEN SOLD!!!! NEW: 8/11/99
